Types of Podcast Advertising…
There are three general types of podcast advertising. Before we get into the details, I would like to say, because we are truly independent, we can tailor most packages to suit your needs, so if you need something different, just let us know and we will see what we can do.
Slot booking…
Your commercial is inserted into new or existing podcasts for 15 – 30 seconds; and show sponsorship where the story is crafted around your product, no-one else can advertise there and the commercial is hard baked, which means it is narrated at the same time as the story and will stay there for the life of the episode (usually forever, unless you decide otherwise).
Where will my ad appear?
Traditionally there are three positions for advertising in a podcast:
Pre-roll
These appear at the start of the podcast, I usually do them just after I have introduced myself as I find they get a better response. These get the most listeners, but they aren’t as immersed in the podcast yet, which is a benefit of later slots.
Mid-roll
These are the balance between listeners and engagemen. I put them in just before the main part of the story, after the preamble, so listeners are very engaged and waiting in anticipation for the feature story.
Post-roll
I have found these are best placed just fter the story has finished, just before I mention next weeks show, there is still a significant number of listeners ad they are extremely engaged.
Sponsored Show
These are slightly different. Your product, service or brand are laced within the story which makes them very memorable. We write the stories with you as an integral part of it, which takes the promotion to a whole new level. Product placement is only available as part of a sponsored show package as once they are in place it is extremely difficult to remove them.
Interview
Interviews are wonderful for listeners getting to know you. They will get to hear your passion for both your product and business, and that really is the best way to sell. Many people are nervous of being interviewed, but there really is nothing to worry about. The interview will not be live, you will be prepared for it before we even before we turn the microphone on.

The consultation normally lasts 20-30 minutes and it means we can get to know you and your brand. So we can tailor make an advertising package that is perfect for you. We can also let you know about upcoming stories and schedule them so they can fit perfectly with your marketing schedule.
